Is NYC the only city whose subway system is restricted to the city limits in which it operates? There's plenty of "suburban" areas a subway would make sense for. I could see the IRT extended to Yonkers if the Getty Sq. branch had been retained. I could also see the A train running all the way through 5 Towns. And the 7 could run to Port Washington. |
