Quite ambitious indeed....No plans for electrification, though; I'll have to read through the entire plans. One can pretty much assume that all of the Penn Line (NEC) improvements will be electrified. (New P&B tunnel by Amtrak). Based of the cost figures in the documents ($2.963 billion NEC, $408 million Camden line and $533 million Brunswick Line) Maryland will be splitting the costs of the new tracks with CSX and Amtrak and costs of the new electrification with Amtrak. I would not assume that any wire will put up on the Camden or Brunswick Lines. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
