Posted by Chipper10 on Sat Oct 27 08:36:29 2007 JUst read a few days ago in the METRO newspaper that the Smith 9th St station will be closing for a year, that's right,for a year as part of the Culver Viaduct project & station rehabilitation which will mean that both local tracks will be taken out of service, in addition, temporary platforms will be built up at 4th Av.I assume that hardrail connection will be built south of Carroll St to switch from local to express tracks, only the G train would be able to stop at 4th Av & both F & G train would operate express between 7th Av & Church Av, I don't understand on why any of this is mentioned. |
