Ilove Hammerman's whining. I agree that communicating with the neighborhood is important, and more likely as not what Hammerman is saying is that MTA didn't kiss his feet while it was doing so.Whatever communication there was or wasn't, it doesn't change the fact that the viaduct needs a rebuild. Yes, it will be painful. But it also means that in 2012, you'll have a smooth fast ride plus express service and probably a nicely updated Smith-9th Station (plus other stations). My attitude is get it done ASAP, which means funding in place and skilled crews scheduled. |
