'the hotel has become a regular shitbox, of late, as this 2002 Dave Barry article attests'My daughter - who happens to be a Dave Barry fan - stayed at the Hotel Penn very happily after 2002. I'm beginning to think that Americans' standards for hotels are different tfrom everyone else's. Just yesterday I was booking a hotel, via the Internet, for a future visit to Budapest. The one we chose had reviews posted by many customres - many of the reviews from Americans were unfavourable, all the ones from non-Americans were very favourable. Since we're not Americans, we booked it. |
