My daughter - who happens to be a Dave Barry fan - stayed at the Hotel Penn very happily after 2002.I stayed at the Hotel Penn several times in 2005 and 2006, all but once in beautifully renovated rooms. The one unrenovated room I stayed in had the "walls made of compressed grime," broken furniture, all the lamps were unplugged, and only one outlet in the room worked. But it was still a pleasant stay, and I never heard anyone through the walls as Dave Barry described. I would certainly stay there again, regarless of the type of room I was assigned. |
