Ummm, shit was pretty bad. I mean, granted, there are always stores and such, but just becuase they were there doesn't mean they contributed.If they were so significant, they why did things get so bad in the first place? And it's not like the same people aren't killing each other now, there's simply less of those types around to kill. As far as the ever-so-used "Starbucks" boogieman, sure, they're there. But for the most part, most gentrified areas have plenty of small buisnesses. Look at Williamsburg or Astoria. |
