The Culver and Myrtle were never going to be replaced by subway. The Culver, while interesting, was not useful enough to enough people. Anyone who wanted to get to 4th avenue services from the F line can do so at 4th avenue station. Otherwise, while the shuttle was nice, it was ultimately an unnecessary line. Myrtle, OTOH was a travesty.
