I have the belief that because they received 3 to 4 major overhauls of flooring and picture window seals as well as 100% stainless construction, they did survive the acid car washes better than other cars. I did see the inners of a pair that was in process of break apart at SIMS in Newark a couple of years back. The skin and floor structure cracking I saw indicate they really should not consider going over 40 years on a car again. They were lucky the 44s needed to leave first. When they skin the cats you see what the TA misses. |
