I used to live in that area that was packed with one & two family houses (98th off Atlantic) & mass transit to/from that area quite frankly sucked. Long walk the the Woodhaven Blvd J train station, even longer to Liberty Ave & the A train, slow pokey Q 11 Woodhaven Blvd bus that got you to QB, then transfer to the subway, all sucked. Atlantic Ave bus was no help either. My old landlady used to tell me that the fastest way to get to Manhattan back then was to jump on the LIRR train at the Woodhaven stop & you'd be in Manhattan in about a half hour...for 50 cents. |
