View is north along west side of 3rd Ave. from E. 33rd Street in October 1955 to the demolition of the E. 34th Street Local Station, 3rd Ave EL. All the buildings at left side of photo are long gone for the whole block to E.34th St. -- and only the 3 buildings at the right edge of the photo along the east sidewalk of the avenue remain today. The other 3 buildings north up to E.34th street were demolished in recent years.Joe F |
