Posted by DieselBusFan on Mon Sep 14 12:04:12 2020 This is not a good sign at all for the AC Line: "infrastructure maintenance and track work on the Atlantic City Line will require the following temporary service adjustments..." (mid-day and weekend replacing by bus until mid-December 2020) (NJT announcement). There have been several closures of the AC Line recently for the same reasons! I don't think it takes much to figure out what is actually going on. Since COVID-19, the AC Line trains have been running just about empty. The line has just been rebuilt with new rail and ties. I really expect the next step to be permanent closure under some ruse. Maintenance blitzes were often a prelude to a final closure of the service. |
