No need for a new Tunnel.
The 63rd St Tube has plenty of capacity to handle Flushing line trains.
The problem is constructing the Trackage and portal connecting to the elevated line.
One way of doing this is use the Bypass row and bellmouths to tunnel under the Sunnyside yard.
The remaining Flushing Line route can retained as a shuttle service or used as the revived Montauk service to Jamaica.
