I Know!
The R killed them,for sure,but I still love'em.
The day the R first received the 46s was somewhat of a blessing,though.

Everything on that line was the worst of the worst.
The swap meant new cars for the N since it became sole responsibility of Stillwell and the big R68s.
The R received the N former rolling stock which was anything out of Jamaica Yard that was able to make service.
However,I loved seeing the 46s on the G.
Kinda felt they sorta belonged there.

To this day,I DON'T like the 68s.
Bland,sterilized atmosphere with a lumbering lurching feel that kills any railfaning affection.
If the railfan window was still available,THAT would have been its saving grace.
