Problem is, the moment you stop sending money to the red states, is the moment potatoes become $20/lb in the grocery store. Yes, blue states also farm. No, that amount isn't nearly enough to keep prices low. Shelves will empty, and stores will raise prices to compensate. Funding red states is basically a food subsidy for all Americans.

I do agree that a lot of DOD is corporate welfare (especially the F35 boondoggle).
