KIds from poor neighborhoods don't have to live near the Belt Pky or any parkway.. Thats where the busses come in. They'd be bused from their neighborhood to Long Island. But it just so happens that the clearence then on the parkways was too low to carry kids from poor neighborhoods in buses. What a coincidence. Weather his intent was racist motivated will never be known. Its one of those questions that will never have a sure answer. However, his racist attitudes thru the years along with his many white friends on Long Island lend some credibility to this being racially motivated. BTW look at the big "S" curve in the GCP in the Mineola area. Moses designed that so his white friends would not have to be relocated had the GCP been aligned straight. Just more Moses trechery and abuse of power. |
