Melbourne is the same. Zone system with same price whether you take Metro (which is their commuter rail) or Tram or Bus from A to B. For simplicity's sake they made some exceptions such that all trams max out at zone 2 despite going far enough that the corresponding commuter rail is more expensive.They also have automatic unlimited day passes, whereby once your daily fares reach the price of a day pass, it stops charging you. |
