The ownership of an automobile in the CBD is very extravagant.I did it for 38 years for a very reasonable price. My total annual car expenses were never over $5000 (yes, that includes depreciation of purchase costs), and often considerably less. I stopped doing it this spring and am now renting when necessary because the number of car trips I take locally has greatly decreased over time. |
