Where did you get the idea that LIRR is in the market for more bi-levels ?I don't remember where but I read that the C3s will not be rehabbed. The idea is that: -MNRR, Amtrak and LIRR will all replace their dual modes with a single model. -At the same time, MNRR and LIRR will replace their coaches with a single model. LIRR's weird electrical system will get tossed and the new coaches would be fully interchangeable across the two MTA systems. |
