Oh man- I wish I'd have gone out there to see this!!!

Actually, I wish the Fulton El had been modernized, the Ashland Place connection built, and all of it still in operation. But that's fantasy. These remnants, however, existed until I was in my 20s. Had I known of them, I'd have gone out there. I may not have gotten out of my car- but I'd still have gone there.

On 7/3/89, I drove out looking to see if there were any remnants of the Lexington El. As we know, there are almost none, and certainly nothing that can be seen from a moving car. That day, I did get a good look at the Myrtle remnants (which I'd read about), and I discovered the remnants of the Broadway Ferry spur- of which I had not previously known.
