I find the C/R not making an annoucement for 20 minutes highly unbelievable.I've taken a lot of flak over my views. Please quote me accurately. I wrote that the reports indicted the time interval from the derailment to the conductor's announcement was 10 to 20 minutes. Not an absolute 20 minutes. I also wrote that it was 20 minutes before the C/R came around to unlock the doors between the cars. How do you think those 300 emergency personnell were notified? I've previously written that I would like to see an NTSB report because a detailed description of emergency actions is always included. |
