If I was still a c/r, I'm going to open one car door at a time to evacuate. I do not want a stampede.For announcements, 2 minutes feel like 10 minutes, unless you have a stopwatch. The crew would like to get an idea on what is going on with the train before they start giving announcements which may not be accurate. The t/o has to call control appraising them of the situation, the c/r should then be told by the t/o what's happening. |
