Which is exactly what I would do. You need single-track shuttles between Wall and Chambers for people who need to get there to make transfers at Park Place and Fulton Streets, especially Fulton to the (4) (5).I'd also be looking at single-track shuttles that would run between Clark and Nevins Street (or at least a single shuttle between Clark and Borough Hall) to accommodate those passengers. I would also use BOTH the old loop and the new SF stations so the (1) (2) and (3) ALL can terminate there. One of the lines can be designated as the loop station line and use the loop at all times so you don't have three lines trying to terminate at the new SF. That need could be eliminated, however, if you can built switches north of Wall Street if possible that would allow the (2) (3) to use Wall Street (or even Fulton Street) as a terminal on weekends during this period. |
