Although it doesn’t seem to be made perfectly clear, it seems that the 5 will be running to Flatbush 24 hours on weekends and the Dyre shuttle will be replaced by the through 2 service from Dyre to So/Fy. Actually, it might make more sense to terminate the 2s on the exp tk in Chambers St station instead of sending them to So/Fy. That would eliminate the congestion problem at So/Fy regardless of which station is used. It would also be possible and highly desirable to run a single track shuttle between Chambers and Wall/William to provide service to stations not served by the 2 or 3 during this time. |
