In this case, the switches also provide a long-term benefit in that if the line in Brooklyn gets "Jacked Up," the (2) and (3) can use Wall or Fulton to terminate.This mainly allows those without Metrocards to transfer from the 2/3 to the 4/5 at Fulton to continue to Brooklyn. The OOS transfer may not be sufficient for those who have to after the subway transfer to a bus and don't have unlimited cards. |
