That's certainly true. I think lower Montauk to 63rd is a good option too, although you'll have to build a connecting north-south tunnel in LIC to connect Montauk to 63rd - which could allow for transfers between the new line and the E, M, N, R, (revived) W and 7 trains at Queens or Queensboro Plaza as well as the G at Court Square. But this service, too, would be contingent on building at least part of SAS Phase 3, as there would be no room on the 6th Ave or Broadway Line tracks for a Rockaway Park/Lower Montauk service. |
