My idea is the train coming off the lower Montauk would pretty much u-turn via the Montauk cutoff and dive underground over there to link into the tunnel. It's minimally circuitous and uses existing infrastructure. I wonder if the construction of RBB would reduce ridership on the F (passengers boarding at Roosevelt) to the point that you could cut some F service and make space for RBB trains on 6th Av. It's not the best solution, but it could work until SAS south of 63rd and the Queens Super Express are both built. |
