to all concerned re:76st.both the 4 track tunnel from the bumper blocks at grant ave,the yard leads from pitkin yard and 2 local stations,roughed out with blue tiles on the wall saying 76st.were built. the 4 track tunnel extends to 79st. and pitkin ave. tracka8,whichextends up to the e/blocal platform was used from 1948 to 1952 for long relays.this is shown on both the euclid ave and yard towers.since 1964 when i started with the t.a.Ihave spoken to my signal maintainer amotorman who went beyond the now in place cinder block wall onthe pump train to pump out a flood and 2 cops from the 75th pct.who were in there in 1978,one being a former trainsit cop who knew about it. this people have no connection to one another,yet they all describe the tunnels and stations as forementioned. tunnelrat
