I know it's barely related, but do you know when they last ran the Erie Stillwell coaches?The date was Saturday, September 14, 1974. Train service between Port Jervis and Hoboken was still run by the Erie - Lackawanna Railroad. On Saturdays there were only two scheduled trains No 70 which came down in thew morning and No 71 which returned to Port Jervis at night. On this Saturday No 70 came down with three E-8's and 15 Stillwells. No 71 ran north with on E-8 and two Stillwells. There was no Sunday service then but on Monday morning, September 15 the Comet I's handled all runs. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
