Which was only what - two each way daily then? IIRC, coming out of HOB, it was 445, and 526. Or were there three?

Lou: That's about right. The August 25, 1974 Timetable for the Main Line - Bergen County Line (Form 7) provides the following information.

Passenger service between Port Jervis and Hoboken operated Monday through Saturday. There was no Sunday service.

Monday through Friday there were two eastbounds and two westbound trains. No 52 left from Port Jervis at 607AM followed by No 54 at 649AM.
Westbound No 57 left Hoboken at 430PM and No 59 at 542PM. No 59 was something of an "express" making its first stop at Ho-Ho-Kus and the next one at Ramsey and then making all stops to Port Jervis over the original route.

There was a third eastbound in the morning rush. This was No 50 which originated at Monroe at 630AM.

The Saturday schedule provided for one train in each direction. No 70 left Port Jervis at 740AM and no 71 departed from Hoboken at 400PM.

It may seem hard to believe but from the time of the brutal service cuts in late 1966 to July 1989 there was no Sunday service on either the Main Line or the Bergen County Line.

BTW: Have you heard about a train show in Middletown? I don't know of one but I have heard of some reference to it.
