Wrong! Circa 1960, I rode a D type N/B on a Brighton Lcl on Qns Blvd. I boarded it at one of the local stations (I cant remember which one although it may have been 36 St) and I cant recall why I was boarding there since I lived in Manhattan at the time and was just railfanning that particular day. I rode it all the way to Ctl and back S/B to 34 St where I changed for an uptown IND train back home.
