That still sort of holds true. In February 2010, I was on a packed rush hour R32, serving the B on CPW. Lots of people reacted if it was a C and even asked "what train is this"....and it was signed completely properly. I even said to one person "it looks like a C, but it's a B!". I was riding (as opposed to railfanning) from 167th in the Bronx to 47-50th. I can't remember if I started on the D and switched at 59th...it's possible that when I saw the R32 at 167th, I just got on.
