Since the 1 line doesn't run any 142's, none of their programs are needed in there, but they keep the regular route just in case a set ends up over there. Same deal with the 3. You can program the 142's to make any intermediate stop the final stop on the displays, but it will still announce it as going to the programmed destination. For example, I once programmed my 5 to do "this is a Nereid Ave bound 5 train. The next and last stop is Gun Hill Road"There IS a full set of 7 announcements though, including to/from Hunters Point! And yes, there's also a program for the shuttle. It's funny just HOW many programs are in there for the 2/4/5/6, and yet there aren't ANY programs which go to South Ferry... |
