You should hear the NJ Transit countdown clocks.The next train to .... SUFFERN .... will stop on Track..... H ...... making stops at Ridgewood, Hohokus, Waldwick, Allendale, Ramsey, (different voice) Ramsey Route 17 Station, (original voice again), Mahwahandsuffern. They sound totally artificial. It is amusing how when the 5 is running the 241 program, the 2's voice says "this is a Wakefield-241 St bound 5 local train" and then the 4/5's voice says "the next stop is Jackson Ave". Also, the Flatbush to 241 (5) program does not announce ANY transfers the entire route except for the 2 at E180. Also, when approaching the last stop, the entire announcement is different. It's especially noticeable when arriving at Buhre Ave, since the "this is a Pelham Bay Park bound 6 train" is spoken WAAAY slower than at any other station. |
