I don't work for MTA so I don't know all the intricacies...however during the week, I see trains coming into Flatbush Avenue as #2 trains and leaving as #5 trains. I think both the #2 and #5 are serviced out of yards in the Bronx and wonder how careul they are in separating the equipment used on the #2 from the equipment used on the #5...I also see trains that come into Flatbush as #5 and leave as #5 yet have #2 strip maps. The question I raised is not what is....we see what is. The question is didn't the bird brains making these orders originally consider this might happen? Now the same series of cars went into the L (qwll nor hw aMW WZxr aweiwa vur EW RHOAW `32'A a oppoaws ro `31'a all have strip maps for the L and I think, bug again am not sure, all trains in the Canarsie yard are used exclusively on the L so it doesn't seem to be a problem. You just think some times that people don't have the ability to think thikngs through. Certainly having strip maps is a good idea but this just doesn't seem to have been thought through. |
