And a historic note. When they first ran the D service down the Brighton after Chrystie Street the D was the express during the day and local at night, with the QJ as the local when the D ran express.

Not only was that confusing, but they initially sent the D Brighton to Coney Island and the Q local to Brighton Beach. This meant that locals and expresses had to cross in front of each other north of BB. Te waits could be QUITE long.

I forget how long it took them to end that silliness.
