The seating arrangement remained the same EXCEPT they didn't flip back and forth anymore- they were secured in one direction, axiflow fans were installed and the door controls were moved to the inside (center) of the car (as the AB steels) the R.R.headlight was also removed. They were numbered in the 2900 series often called B-29's by the motorman of the BMT-operating on the Culver Shuttle, Franklin Shuttle and occasionally the West End- SIRT 500 series (trailers) were never used in passenger service mostly for Car Inspector quarters in various BMT yards.WE-44 |
