Posted by Ed Alfonsin on Tue Jan 18 17:45:09 2011 Does anyone have a good picture or description of the mid-1950s paint scheme the TA used for the BMT Type E (ex-SIRT) cars? I think the maroon and blue combo had a lot more character than the older chocolate brown and I'm finally thinking about painting my brass WP Car67' set after 25 years or so. I liked that coloring more than the traditional BMT/BoT brown, even with the IRT or D-Type doors and I think regular BMT 67'cars could look great in blue and maroon--the blue looked almost like the dark blue Bluebird (Compartment) color. Any suggestions about proper model paint colors? Thanks much, Ed Alfonsin Potsdam, New York |
