The H&M station had to be relocated southward as well. There used to be a station at 28th which was eliminated since the south end of the new 33rd St. station extended to 30th St. two blocks away. Also one of the major water tunnels carrying water from the reservoirs traverses that area which made construction of the 6th Ave. line even more challenging. |
