The very fact that this is attempted to be "COVERED UP" by the GOP wanna bees...is a abomination of the utmost regards...and sadly show us the entire length of how desperate little minded men get when they don't get there way. The thing that gets me is that if he made a "mistake" by saying lies too early, why is there no significantly noticeable pause?Frankly, I don't think he said "black"...but he was in the process of doing so. But that's just my opinion. Regardless, I think this is an unfair assessment of the entire Republican Party. If they were so racist, Herman Cain wouldn't have been a prominent nominee for president of the U.S., nor would Condelezza Rice and Colin Powell have had such high positions in the last Administration. |

I have listened to this over and over, and can't make it out clearly. I don't know what he said, but I don't hear "black". It's at minute :40 that the comment comes up here. I have replayed it back countless times. And there's also a "skip" at that point for some reason, which I also can't figure out, the rest of the video doesn't skip: |

But that still doesn't paint everyone in the same brush. I just posted the video again...from a site that comes in from the "he said black" in the video, so that this isn't said to be edited. I can not make out what he says, and "black" is not clear. It almost sounds like "blind" (which doesn't make sense either, but I can't hear black). I listened over and over, and still can't make it out. Also, there's a noticeable skip in the video when that is happening making it even more difficult. |

Personally I don't know if he said black or not (personally it sounded like black) but to me it's a moot point because I don't think what he said was that bad. He said he "want's to give them the opportunity to earn their own money and provide for themselves and their family". To me that is not racist and makes a lot of sense whether he said black or not. |

Being a POLITICIAN looking for votes,he said what ever he thought they wanted to hear.. He stated he wants to make "blacks self sufficient, earning their own money, and providing for their family.." Meaning taking away funds from THOSE WHITE PEOPLE to give to those black people.. Is he trying to say that ALL Black are on the dole..that ALL are welfare recipients..that none of us work or have worked..and has depended on THEM? I UNDERSTAND WHAT he was TRYING TO SAY..but its HOW he said it that..the MEANING of his INTENT..That totally fucked it up for him...not taking into account how many people actually are on the system..and not mentioning that in THAT STATE ALONE..there are MORE white folks on the dole than there are Blacks Living there. So what was the reason HE chose to single out "black people" to make his point? Simple enough..he played upon THEIR FEARS...just like most of the GOP does.. Sure it makes "a lot of sense" to you..but does THAT make it right? |
