Unrelated P.S. If you read all those years as "Two-thousand..." and not "Twenty..." I hate you.+1. I am tired of people saying "Two Thousand"....while it was acceptable when we had to deal with "the oh's", and I gave a grace period for Twenty-Ten....Twenty Eleven and now Twenty Twelve, etc is it..... |

That's because the Democrats have used minorities. They claim to be "for" minorities, but they are only "for them" for their votes. The Liberal Democrat White Elite has done program after program to hold minorities to an eternal underclass so that they continue to need all the social programs they push out, so they continue to vote for them. |

It's terrible actually. The Democrats have been more harmful to minorities than Republicans. At least with the Republicans, you often know where you stand, some of them have come right out and said their position on "minorities". The Democrat Elite is different. They smile and appease, and pretend they are all for minorities, but when they turn around and aren't looking, they stab them in the back. |

It's been a disgusting declension since the end of WWII. When I read about factories pulling out of Manhattan in reaction to then-mayor Robert F. Wagner Junior instituting increasing funding for his many social programs (which included public housing, public schools, CUNY, collective bargaining for city employees—of course with businesses bearing the brunt via increased taxation), I just shook my head; that was the beginning. I beg to differ. Dan Savage's Google campaign against Santorum began in 2003, but way before that, in the mid-1990s, Dan Savage wrote a column called Savage Love in the Village Voice, in which he first asked his readers to come up with a disgusting definition for the (then) would-be Senator. As Google gained steam, he extended the winning Santorum "frothy mix" definition of the politician to the Internet via Google and a later blog, which includes links to Savage's present-day version of his column at The Stranger. |

But another way to look at it is that he was talking about the lives of Iowans, specifically the ones in the room. Since they aren't black, how does saying "black" fit? You have to listen to what he said before and after to see that black doesnt make sense. It certainly did sound like black though. On every recording. |

He's talking to an all-white, Midwestern audience, directly to what he thinks are their own private prejudices against blacks. It makes perfect sense that he would cite blacks as having their "lives made better" with "taxpayer's" money, as this meme is a common GOP theme to appeal to white voters. Santorum really believed he would get away with saying this, and in some quarters, he is. |
