Minorities are liberal in an economic sense as they feel the need for transfers to improve their poor living conditions will solve their social problems, while socially, their views are more in line with conservative positions on certain topics like gays, evolution, and immigration. But what good is voting for the party that reflects your pastor's views on certain subjects when you're a working single mother on Medicaid, SNAP, and Section 8, or you're an elderly woman on SSI? |
