Being a POLITICIAN looking for votes,he said what ever he thought they wanted to hear.. He stated he wants to make "blacks self sufficient,earning their own money,and providing for their family.." Meaning taking away funds from THOSE WHITE PEOPLE to give to those black people.. Is he trying to say that ALL Black are on the dole..that ALL are welfare recipients..that none of us work or have worked..and has depended on THEM? I UNDERSTAND WHAT he was TRYING TO SAY..but its HOW he said it that..the MEANING of his INTENT..That totally fucked it up for him...not taking into account how many people actually are on the system..and not mentioning that in THAT STATE ALONE..there are MORE white folks on the dole than there are Blacks Living there. So what was the reason HE chose to single out "black people" to make his point? Simple enough..he played upon THEIR FEARS...just like most of the GOP does.. Sure it makes "a lot of sense" to you..but does THAT make it right? |
