The very fact that this is attempted to be "COVERED UP" by the GOP wanna bees...is a abomination of the utmost regards...and sadly show us the entire length of how desperate little minded men get when they don't get there way.

This really is rather strange. The thing that gets me is that if he made a "mistake" by saying lies too early, why is there no significantly noticeable pause?

Frankly, I don't think he said "black"...but he was in the process of doing so. But that's just my opinion.

Regardless, I think this is an unfair assessment of the entire Republican Party. If they were so racist, Herman Cain wouldn't have been a prominent nominee for president of the U.S., nor would Condelezza Rice and Colin Powell have had such high positions in the last Administration.

I have listened to this over and over, and can't make it out clearly. I don't know what he said, but I don't hear "black". It's at minute :40 that the comment comes up here. I have replayed it back countless times. And there's also a "skip" at that point for some reason, which I also can't figure out, the rest of the video doesn't skip:

But that still doesn't paint everyone in the same brush. I just posted the video again...from a site that comes in from the "he said black" in the video, so that this isn't said to be edited. I can not make out what he says, and "black" is not clear. It almost sounds like "blind" (which doesn't make sense either, but I can't hear black). I listened over and over, and still can't make it out. Also, there's a noticeable skip in the video when that is happening making it even more difficult.

He wont..because he a POLITICIAN FIRST..and such a hotbed of controversy would further ruin his opportunity to GET VOTES from a EVEN MODERATE LEANER like myself.
So he will NEVER admit saying such a thing, even if you have recorded proof.

Good strategic move on his part...but now that its gone viral..it wont help him much.

No hops, skips, OR jumps. Santorum said, "black people". Contrary to the white conservative attempts to make people think they did not see and hear Santorum utter this, it's plainly evident, and no amount of washing, rinsing or spinning this FACT will change that.

If I hear it in an unedited video, it's one thing, but THAT particular feed has a burp in it right at the critical moment...either Santorum people covering it up, or someone on the other side blurring it into what they want to hear. Journalistic rules in my case. Once clarified, my NEXT story would be "who fucked with it and why?"

Right now though, I'm on a far more critical story and I have to stick with that. I was hoping to peacefully write code tonight and not have to find my journo hat. :)

Actuality piece is clear from the start of the sentence ... sounds like an audio compressor bump to me and not an edit. I'll let you guys finish this one off though, I was already sold on what I heard with my own ears the other night. They didn't call me "ears" in audio engineering for all those years for missing things. :)

Like I just said, sound to me like an audio compressor "pumping" ... ask your techie types about "pumping" and audio compressors, they can confirm.

I wasn't talking to you, but in any event, why does a post like that come up "like it really matters anyway", right when there's something fishy discovered.
Again, he may well have said it, I never said he didn't, but it's NOT in that particular video, and it DEFINITELY skips in that video. Either someone on his side made it skip to cover up he said it, or someone on the other side made it skip to make it sound like he did, but "something" happened there. YOU of all people should realize that, as you talk about this sort of thing all the time.

obviously you dont...but lets look at the issue at had, what the implications are.

He was speaking to a 99.9 percent white audience, with perhaps TWO persons of color there including one of the reporters..
Being a POLITICIAN looking for votes,he said what ever he thought they wanted to hear..
He stated he wants to make "blacks self sufficient, earning their own money, and providing for their family.."
Meaning taking away funds from THOSE WHITE PEOPLE to give to those black people..
Is he trying to say that ALL Black are on the dole..that ALL are welfare recipients..that none of us work or have worked..and has depended on THEM?
I UNDERSTAND WHAT he was TRYING TO SAY..but its HOW he said it that..the MEANING of his INTENT..That totally fucked it up for him...not taking into account how many people actually are on the system..and not mentioning that in THAT STATE ALONE..there are MORE white folks on the dole than there are Blacks Living there.

So what was the reason HE chose to single out "black people" to make his point?
Simple enough..he played upon THEIR FEARS...just like most of the GOP does..
Sure it makes "a lot of sense" to you..but does THAT make it right?
