My opinion though is based on the fact that he has done very little as an NFL player. I was actually surprised that he was taken in the first round of his draft year, as he did not play a pro-style offense in college.Having said that: if he were black, Tebow would probably be a non-story. I despise the fact that he is getting attention as a player despite having done so little on the gridiron. And people are making excuses for Tim Tebow that they didn't make with Kyle Orton. |

The only reason Denver took Tebow was to sell t-shirts to the Bahhh-Bull crowd. Nobody in the general public knew who Rivera, Pujols or Reyes were when they first came up. One probably even had to endure a hard time trying to figure which Rivera or which Reyes one was talking about in their rookie years. They never ruined everybody's Super Bowl with an anti-women commercial before they ever took their first swing or threw their first pitch at the major league level. It would be unthinkable for them to even start now. |

And for that he's mocked.When a famous Jewish family with a mezuzah on their door and a yarmulke on their heads ruins people's Super Bowl by bringing up the VERY LAST possible topic of conversation one would wish to have at such a festive event in the company of their friends and family, you can bet I will denounce them. That hasn't happened. I had no problem when Andy Pettitte and his wife did ads for the Vitae Foundation even though i don't share its goals. All they did was be in front of the camera with their child and invite people to go to Vitaefoundation.org. That was tastefully done and even got me to go to their website. That's why Andy will be remembered as a true class act and a genuine decent Christian who cares about issues of life instead of self-promotion whether we agree with him or not. Timmy Teabag (had to borrow that from you Pigs....it's brilliant) and his mother are shameless narcissists. They've brought the scorn upon themselves. |

He signed the biggest endorsement deal for a rookie ever. He has offers worth more than most guys who have played for years can only dream of signing. But he's not a white evangelical so no one wants to see him fail or is bothered by his UA endorsement. |

I'll give you another example of double-standards in society.WFAN runs ads from a NJ auto dealer that are basically left-wing poltical ads. Currently they're running an ad that talks about Romney going to Vegas to have a contest with strippers to see which ones could be part of his group of six wives. This runs on WFAN. When the GOP ran an ad in NC featuring a pastor who was a big part of Obama's life many did not run the ad. But no one would pull an ad mocking Romney and his version of Christianity because as I've said, white male Christians are fair game. |

However, if you were in a bar all ready to see the Superbowl, and a group of lunatic Jehovah's Witness came in and started getting into your face and trying to "save" you, then YES, they almost deserve punches.
