And pulling his "tighty whitey" down so you can see his ass to the photographer? You do NOT see that "all over the city" and at other public events, unless it's a gay event. I fail to see why this is only a problem when gay men appear this way. It would be when ANYone appeared like this, but the point is it only happens with gay men. |

The point was you DO NOT have half of the parade of "straight men" or women running around at any event like this like they do at gay pride events. THAT was the point. If there were "half naked straight men or women" running around at particular events it would be inappropriate for children also. And I wouldn't take my "kids to it" either, as it would be "inapproriate". And the question was "why" do these gay events always have to have more than half the participants half naked. I said I had no problem with "random" few if there is a reason for them to be there (such as the gay AND straight puerto ricans promoting their calendar), in that case, there was a purpose. I did say that most of the events have more than half of them just about naked. Why? No other group does that en mass like that when parading. Are half the participants half naked at the Columbus Day parade? Or the Puerto Rican parade (aside from a few random people, not nearly more than half). Or the Steuben Day Parade, or name a parade. Then again, you have the Halloween parade, where half the gay people again are naked. The only one where it comes close to gay events in the amount of people half naked is the Mermaid parade, and in that case, it's a beach themed parade AT THE BEACH on Surf Ave. (ANd I can mention that half the naked people are guys in drag, or transexuals showing off their hormone induced "assets". |

No, because they are random, and it isn't half the parade, nor a part of the spectators either, as with gay events.And didn't forget....I wanted to be informed about it, and couldn't research it earlier at work. I have now, and found the whole parade online. Here's the parade in three parts.....most of it is NOT what those photos show. In fact, it confirms it's very little of the parade. The first 13 minutes have just about none, actually completely uneventful. The second video, about half way through for a few groups have people dressed like that in their country's traditional cultural garb from minute 7 to about 13. So you are saying that "gays traditional garb" is briefs and thongs, and no shirt if you want to compare the two? Part 3 is pretty uneventful except for the photographer videotaping a fellow spectator's rear for a couple seconds because there was absolutely nothing happening in the parade at that time, otherwise totally uneventful. So I am going to have to call your bluff....there was nothing in the parade aside from about 6 minutes in the middle of the parade. |

Questioning why most of the people always seem to be half naked and in briefs and thongs is also not anti-guy.There's still hasn't been an answer to why that is, or what purpose it serves. |
