I've never been a priest nor have I ever played one on TV but I think that, if I'm not misunderstanding you, you are very wrong. I don't think that a person would put himself through the rigors of Divinity School followed by that life simply for the sole purpose of accessing young boys any more than I believe that a gynocologist would spend 12-14 years in school just to have access to young women. It seems that there are far simpler ways. In the past week, I've been to 2 Catholic Funeral masses. You can't tell me that those dedicated men chose their "career" paths for because they wanted access to young boys. Becoming a camp counselor or a teacher might be far simpler. Clearly you are very wrong in your assessment. |
