He's probably talking about the 1997 Karachi attack that followed his conviction but preceded his execution. Since he was still alive, it makes it moot, i.e. such a retaliation, if it is in fact such, would still have occurred if he had been sentenced to life.On the other hand, execution of terrorists is preferred because it prevents them from being subject to prisoner exchanges in the future. |
