The problem with BK was that even before the trans-fat ban I absolutely HATED the taste of BK fries, although I preferred the taste of the Double whopper over the Double Quarter Pounder.Even though it cost more when I had time I would go through the McDonalds drive-thru for the Fries and then go to BK for the burger. Ever since the trans-fat ban both McD's fries and BK fries are so horrible that I would not even feed them to a dog! |

I have kids which means that I pretty much have to go to McDonalds whenever I get fast food. The only redeeming thing about McDonalds is their fries which are better than everywhere else ('cept maybe Tommy's chili cheese fries). Now you don't even have that. Plus you don't have good fast food choices in general with no Jacks, no Carls, no In-n-out, etc. |

Listen, anytime you have a serious beef, you don't call those complaint hotlines because more often than not that complaint is totally disregarded. But if you write a letter directly to the president of the company, you'll see corrective action nearly every time.In this case one wouldn't complain about the 50 cents, but one should definitely complain about the contempt that the employee showed the customer. |

The only time I eat at White Castle is when I need something to clean out my insides. IMO the sliders are good. But a little high priced considering the size. Sizzler is a good sitdown restaurant. Their salad bar alone is a meal. One place I miss is Tad's steaks. Good hamburger steak. Very inexpesive. |

I don't consider cafeterias fast food, and even with the Automat H & H was basically a cafeteria. Besides Horn & Hardart the other cafeterias I liked was Dubrows on Kings Hway under the Brighton Station, the Bellmore Cafeteria on Park Av S. & 28 Street, and the Jerome Cafeteria on River Av opposite Yankee Stadium. |
