So would you talk like this in person if someone accused you of 'fanning the flames'? I doubt it Brian, seeing as you'd probably end up taking a little unscheduled nap on the footpath.

BTW: Looking at that post, I'd say it's quite obvious who the 'big talker' is - wouldn't you, Billy Fucking Bullshitter?

I've been to 48 states (44 for at least 24 hours) but the two I'm missing are the Dakotas and not Alaska and Hawaii like you'd expect.

I read some years ago, can't find the cite, that the states which the lowest percentage of Americans have visited are Alaska, Hawaii, and North Dakota. Florida is the most visited state.

I did a roofing job on my old ,metal, backyard shed.
I bolted some plywood sheets over the metal roof, and did a shingle roof job. It lasted a long time and gave me plenty of use out of my shed.

It eventually failed and I had the whole shed taken down and hauled away,(my siding contractor did it for me) just recently.

For some reason I have no recollection of that scandal. I know there was a recent one (I forget which State) where tickets remained on sale after the major prizes were already won. If it were run privately, someone would have gone to jail for fraud.

Not really a scandal, and not fraud, either. The tickets have always had a disclaimer on them about this, and the available prizes are listed on the lottery web site. Previously, you would have had to write a letter to the lottery; but I recall the Daily News rand a column every so often with a list of the prizes left from certain New York lottery games.

Still it's not right to have a big $1 Million prize sign on the ticket when the top prize is only $5,000 with some small disclaimer saying some prizes may have already been awarded. Your chances are small as it is to win, it needn't be made worse. Once the top prize is won, the tickets should be destroyed and the remaining prizes reallocated into future tickets. To me it's still false advertising. You really can't expect anyone to check the web site or read the Daily News before buying a ticket. If they were smart enough to read the small print, they wouldn't be buying the ticket in the first place. It's just a voluntary tax on the poor.

Haha, during one of the Mardis Gras parades this past February, they also had a "fake" trolley as one of the floats running on the parade route....interestingly over the normal streetcar tracks on St Charles Ave. The streetcars of course are suspended during parade hours. Yes, it was cold inside, but of course, it was a hockey game....
It's much larger than Nassau Colesium. I think smaller though than the Staples Forum I had also been in in LA.
I have also been in Arrowhead Stadium in Anaheim for a Ducks hockey game some years ago too.

Compared to NY? Most stadiums I have been in blow any of NY's away....but until now, our newest stadiums were in the Meadowlands from the late 60's. We finally have some new stadiums coming to NY. NY's were $hit next to most other stadiums I have been in over the years.
Although the only one worse I can think of than any of NY's stadiums was some piece of crap stadium in Long Beach, California some years ago.

1. Been in the Pacific Ocean in California

Believe it or not, neither have I, after living in So. California for almost 22 years! Been to the beach, but never went in the ocean. Even spent a week in Hawaii and never entered the Pacific (the day I planned to go to the beach, I ended up taking TheBus out to Pearlridge mall to see their monorail). Actually, I haven't been in the Atlantic since the first time I visited Miami in August 1978 (when I went in, I cut my foot on a rock, maybe the trauma has kept me out of oceans ever since!) :)

2. Been on an airplane (after my first Amtrak ride)
3. Skydiving (would love to do it one day)
4. Jump off a cliff (I have zero desire to do anyway)
5. Attend a wrestling PPV (Attended the first episode of RAW back in 1993)
6. Ate raw eggs
7. Walked the entire distance of any crosstown street except for Houston Street

I think you're first airplane flight should be to go skydiving. That would be cool.

Never...

-flown in a helicopter
-been on a cruise
-been outside the United States
-eaten sushi that's not a California roll or a chicken roll (aka "fish sushi" - no desire to, really)
-driven manual shift (want to learn...)
-rode the Acela (the one time I was going to, my friend got NY Giants tickets so I took an earlier train...a Regional...so I could go)
-ridden a motorcycle
-walked across the Brooklyn Bridge (I live in NYC)
-driven drunk (and I never will)

The "Haves"

-Driven an ice resurfacer (Zamboni - once...legally, and with permission)
-racked a 40ft aluminum ladder on a narrow street under power lines by myself...and survived..heh.
-hit a baseball 350+ feet
-had Royal Flush in poker
-fractured my skull (twice - that explains a lot)

all i can think of for now...
